
Uttaranchal College of Polytechnic, Uttaranchal University, strives to prepare highly competent engineering professionals who have a competitive edge increasing their probability of achieving their professional aspirations. The college endeavours to deliver far more than the syllabus and the fixed curriculum as it has never been the sufficient success parameter for the college. Hence we keep delivering something extra to our young learners to enhance their confidence resulting from their knowledge and technical skills.
Keeping with this very spirit the college organized a Seminar, conducted by one of its most competent faculties Mr. Rishi Dev Nautiyal, for the II Year Students of Diploma Civil Engineering on February 19, 2020 on “Theodolite Surveying”.
The Seminar commenced with the traditional lightning of the auspicious lamp by the Principal of the College Dr. S. K. Shah followed by the recital of “Saraswati Vandana” and “Kul Geet” by all present.
Theodolite Surveying is one of the latest technologies being used in land surveying. In his lecture Mr. Rishi Dev Nautiyal delivered a detailed in-depth knowledge and understanding of this latest instrument, its various components and method of measurement of angles between designated visible points in the horizontal and vertical planes with high precision. In the lecture, that spanned around ninety minutes, he told about various applications of the technology and the instrument in the industry. His session concluded with a student’s interaction wherein queries were aptly answered.
At the end the Principal of the College motivated the students in his Vote of Thanks to raise their knowledge level to meet the expectations of the industry. The program concluded with the recital of the National Anthem by one and all present.
